This piece seeks to provide an experiential understanding of dissociative states. Within a backdrop of pastel hospital scrubs, mask elements narrates self in its metamorphosis across time, contexts, and in response to trauma and treatment. Shriveled root vegetables scattered about the scene indicate a pervasive force that can permeate any and all aspects of consciousness. The masks house a variety of interweaving elements, depicting self as dependent on and constructed from one\u2019s environment. Questioning the viewer, from what is your \u2018self\u2019 constructed?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
