These three paintings were created during the most painful period in my life: mania. In 2017 when I made these paintings, I saw it one way. Surviving the unimaginable. But today, I see it another way. The beginning of a marvelous healing journey. Mania is like a nuclear runaway reaction, Pure Being. A 100-mile-wide Tsunami obliterating the Self. It is a spiritual experience, an apocalypse, full of ecstasy and revelation. Visions. Death. But also rebirth, planting the seeds of peace, acceptance, and happiness. I am grateful for my mania and these paintings are fallen field recordings of that experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
