These book works concentrate on the complex emotions that accompany a medical diagnosis and the meaning-making potential of artists\u2019 books. The text in these books comes from the illness narratives of my sister, who is a medical ethicist and chronically ill woman with multiple sclerosis, as well as interviews I conducted with scholars working at the intersections of art and medicine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
