Tamara Deedman<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tamara Deedman (she\/her) is an artist and educator based in Treaty 6 territory (Edmonton, Alberta). She received her BFA from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (2015) and is currently a MFA candidate at the University of Alberta in the printmaking department. Through community work, Tamara is an advocate for creating safe and accessible spaces for marginalized communities who are looking to find wellness through the act of creating. With a heavy emphasis on pairing drawing with photographic methods within the framework of printmaking, Her work focuses on concepts of memory, mental health, coping mechanisms, archives, collections and their destruction.
