Liz Ingram, University of Alberta Professor Emerita, is an artist whose practice bridges printmaking and installation art. Bernd Hildebrandt is an exhibit display designer, artist and poet. As a collaborative art team, their work centres on the idea of caring for nature and human health. This work, \u201cLight Touch\u201d, encloses the viewer in a silk environment printed with images of hands gently holding MRI brain scans taken from Ingram\u2019s personal ongoing journey with cancer, combined with Bernd\u2019s poetic text. Simultaneously caring and unsettling, the piece reveals emotional dichotomies raised by clinical medical processes and personal human care.
