This work is a visual representation of psychosis as I envisioned it at that time. It is based both on my professional involvement with someone who suffers from psychosis and their report of their experience of the condition, and from my wider involvement and experience in the mental health field.
My creative talent as a painter was unleashed by my move from London to Edmonton and the profound emotional impact of this change. I was unable to settle in Edmonton and returned to the UK.
