Dr. Kei Yamashiro
Kei Yamashiro earned her degrees including Ph.D in her country, Japan. Her research
there focused on cancer biology. As one of her major efforts, her group introduced
tissue-clearing methods for visualization of caner metastases with 3D images. She is
currently working in the group of Dr. Macauley lab at University of Alberta and
leveraging her imaging experience of tissue clearing to her current project, focusing on
the function of immune cells in Alzheimer’s disease.
