On 19th April, CONNECTIONS fibre artists Richard Boulet and Maya Candler hosted a relaxed, collaborative afternoon of FIBRE FUN, sharing and creation. Museum goers were invited to drop in and work with their hands and explore the contemplative space of textile art. Each visitor was given a pack of fabric samples that they then transformed into a textile work using beads, applique and embroidery. It was a great event – thank you to everyone who took part in the event!
Richard is now working with some of the textile creations from the workshop that people left behind as part of a new art work. We’ll keep you posted!
