Passionate Pursuit of Possession
Photopolymer on paper
These prints are based on a page of my late father’s hand written archive. When my father was alive I watched him collect and create entire archiving systems for the things he considered luxury to cope with his mental illness; CD’s, coins, DVD’s, broken down cars, sheds full of unused carpentry tools. Through the act of documenting, manipulating and printing this single book page in its changing states, I spend time with it and by proxy my father, allowing me to let go of his physical objects that have become the physical markers of grief, mental illness, and coping mechanisms.
