Situated between printmaking and health research, my artistic practice investigates how the visual and material culture of medicine impacts the patient’ sense of wellbeing. This artwork is made in collaboration with my sister, who is a Professor of Clinical Ethics and multiple sclerosis patient. I merge her biomedical scans, hospital gowns, and the graphic design of the MRI machine to elucidate her lived experiences. Although this can be a heavy subject matter, I employ technicolor and illusionary materials to invite the viewers into this topic.
