Just Benign

Just Benign is a self-portrait created post-surgery with pencil, digitally blended with an original acrylic painting, then animated with glitch software. I had a meningioma removed which was misdiagnosed for close to 8 years due to slow growth. Headaches, referred pain, and other symptoms had become unbearable. Just Benign was created in an attempt to express that, although a meningioma is considered as benign, my life was altered and ultimately ruled by this invisible illness.
