This digital image resulting from diffusion tractography and a T1 MRI shows the corpus callosum, the largest white matter tract in the brain which connects the left and right hemispheres. It is coloured in a gradient from pink (posterior fibres) to teal (anterior fibres), representing the general pattern of myelination during a development that follows a posterior to anterior gradient.
